About This Position
As Alphia’s Movers scales its courier and delivery operations, we need someone to coordinate the moving parts — literally. Our dispatcher will be the central hub connecting customers, crews, drivers, and logistics to make sure every job runs smoothly from booking to completion.
This role is built for someone who’s organized, calm under pressure, and enjoys solving problems in real time. You’ll be the one keeping everything on track while our crews focus on the road.
What You’ll Do
- Schedule and coordinate delivery crews, drivers, and equipment for daily jobs
- Communicate with customers about arrival windows, updates, and changes
- Assign vehicles based on job type, load size, and route requirements
- Monitor active jobs and handle issues as they come up in real time
- Coordinate with B2B partners, freight contacts, and direct contract clients
- Track vehicle locations, crew status, and job completion in dispatch tools
- Handle customer inquiries, booking requests, and quote follow-ups
- Maintain dispatch logs, job records, and compliance documentation
- Support operations with scheduling, routing, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with vehicle maintenance scheduling and inspection logs
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills — you can juggle multiple jobs, crews, and customer conversations at once
- Excellent communication — you’ll be talking to customers, drivers, and partners all day; clarity matters
- Problem-solving mindset — things change fast in delivery; you need to adapt without breaking stride
- Comfortable with technology — dispatch software, spreadsheets, communication apps
- Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace for remote work
- Available during core business hours (typically 7 AM–6 PM, some weekend flexibility needed)
- Background in logistics, customer service, or operations is a plus — not required
Remote-friendly: This role can be performed fully remotely as long as you’re available during core business hours and have reliable communication access. Local candidates in the Fresno / Central Valley area are preferred for occasional in-person coordination.

- Customer-first attitude: Every interaction reflects on our reputation — you know that
- Systems thinker: You see how all the pieces connect and find ways to run things smoother
- Team player: You support drivers and crews so they can focus on the road

We walk through real dispatch scenarios together — not trick questions, just practical situations you’d actually encounter on the job.
You’ll observe our operations for a week — getting familiar with our jobs, drivers, vehicles, clients, and workflows before taking the reins.
You’ll begin with part-time hours alongside 1099 onboarding and system access setup. Hours scale as our job volume grows.
